Top Turkey holiday destinations

Turkey has a lot to offer for everyone especially during this summer vacation. For those who love the sun, they’d definitely get a lot of exposure since it almost shines the entire day and the beaches are breathtaking as well.

For relaxation, vacationers can simply spend the whole day at the beach in their swimwear and avail great water sporting adventures such as banana boating, jet skiing and parasailing. Other activities include rafting, kayaking and scuba diving.

One of the top holiday destinations in this Middle Eastern country is Alanya.

About ten percent of all tourists visiting Turkey go to this city. There are castle hills that separate two world-class beaches and when the tourists climb the hills, they get to see the breathtaking view of the city from the top.

Another great destination is the Water Planet Aquapark, the country’s largest water theme parks. People from all ages will get to enjoy a lot of activities and adventures in this place.

New cruise ship sets sail in the Mediterranean

Cruise

Celebrities and guests gathered for the launch of Azura, the newest and seventh in the P&O’s fleet of cruise ships.

This 115,000 ton-wonder can accommodate up to 3,100 passengers and offers memorable cruise holidays for everyone. This ship costs 380 million British pounds and started its maiden voyage this week via a 16-nights travel in the Mediterranean.

Carnival Corporation COO Howard Frank said that the launch of this latest ship signifies the return of the cruise holidays industry, which was hampered severely by the global financial crisis for the past two years. Carnival Corp is the owner of P&O.

Last year, about 1.5 million passengers from Britain alone took part in a cruise, a 4 percent increase from the previous year. P&O Cruises officials believe that the figures will increase once more this year with the launch of new ships and attractive rates due to healthy competition. In addition the company provides a targeted platform to sell holiday related products such as swimwear and scuba equipment.
