Social networking sites become avenue for holiday ideas

search for holiday ideas

Searching for holidays ideas? Major social networking sites could be the answer to your problems.
According to reports, more than fifty percent of consumers surveyed by company Deloitte stated that they use the social networking sites in researching and finding gift and holiday ideas.

About fifty two percent of those surveyed go through the wish lists specified by their friends and loved ones in social networking sites such as MySpace, Multiply and Facebook.

Aside from getting ideas, the social networking sites are becoming more accessible when it comes to finding product discounts and other sales.

Topping the list of popular gifts this holiday season include mobile phones such as iPhones, mp3 and mp4 gadgets, notebook computers, personal computers, lingerie and many more.

About fifty five percent of respondents stated that they plan to use their phones in finding stores in the area and even use the gadget to search for discounts and make purchases.

Beat the Holiday Rush

It’s September and already the weather and the leaves are starting to turn. Summer is over and a new school year is here. More than that – the Holidays are coming up quickly. Soon people will be filling malls in a mad dash to complete their holiday shopping.

One of the biggest problems during the holidays is the suffocating crowds at the mall and at the grocers. Waiting in line at the cashier is the worst thing of it all. But, here are a few tips to help you beat the Holiday rush.
DON’T WAIT FOR THE LEAVES TO FALL – Do not wait too long. Make your holiday shopping list now and start going through it. You can make a day or a weekend of it. You can also take it one day at a time. Stock the gifts in your closet and leave the gift wrapping for later. You can also start grocery shopping now. Stock up on cans of pumpkin puree and cranberry jelly before they start flying off the shelves.
GO ONLINE – Instead of shopping at the mall. Why not visit online stores. The price is roughly the same, plus you don’t have to break a sweat. Just wait for the goods to drop on your doorstep and you’re home free. Make sure that you shop early if you are shopping online in order to avoid delivery delays.
