Tui Travel reports increased demand for holiday vacations

Travel company Tui Travel said that there’s a sudden influx of demand for holiday destinations. Customers are flocking to go to scenic holiday destinations within the United Kingdom and the Nordic region.

Tui Travel, like other leading agencies, slashed its number of holiday offerings in a bid to support profit margins. The collapse of smaller competitors led the company to maintain its prices and eventually maintain profits.

Tui Travel chief executive Peter Long said that the group’s customer researcher revealed that positive outlook in personal finances and job markets has led to the increase of demand for holiday vacations. He revealed that late winter and summer bookings have increased for the past few weeks.

The company’s sales during the last quarter of 2009 were at 2.5 billion pounds, which is still down eight percent the year before. The operating loss was set at 107 billion pounds.

With Google taking care of the bill, the business will certainly continue to flourish, he added.

Google Vice President of Search Products and User Experience Marissa Mayer said that they are happy to impart this gift to the travelers during the holidays since millions of people will certainly communicate with their loved ones at the airport while waiting for their flights. Florida holidays back on track with stronger British pound

The recent surge of the British pound against the U.S. dollar brought a positive development on Florida as tourists from Britain have started considering spending the holidays in Florida.

The reason behind this is that the expenses are now more affordable. Co-operative Travel, a leading UK travel agency, reported there’s a 48 percent month on month increase from June last year to the same month this year. There was a decline last May due to the pound’s decreased value of $1.48. Now that it is back to $1.65, more and more tourists are loosening up their purse strings a little.

The travel agency added that Florida has become a favorite for tourists wanting a memorable vacation without spending too much money. You can now afford to spend a week on the florida beaches in your favorite Panache bikini.

Co-operative Travel Retail Distribution Manager Trevor Davis said that the financial crisis has challenged the holidays market to come up with attractive deals and adjustments to the fluctuation in the exchange rates. He added that if the pound continues to surge against foreign currencies then they’re seeing a continuing upward trend in bookings.

Other areas noted to have been preferred by British tourists include Turkey and Egypt.

Explore U.S.A with Holiday Rentals

Dream no more! With dollar getting weaker and weaker, there has never been a perfect time to discover the U.S. and now, it is definitely much easier to find a perfect place to stay in the U.S. through the holiday rentals especially that Holiday-Rentals.co.uk has just added more than 36,000 properties in their sister site in the U.S. So whether it’s in Orlando’s beachfront condo, apartment in New York City, on a ranch, or at a cabin in the mountain-side, you can now experience and live your own fantasie!

Aside from the favorable exchange rate, the cost of flying across the pond will soon come down since the Open Skies pact will soon free up the restrictions on routes. This will sure provide travelers more choices, options and prices as well.
