Giorgio Armani to launch first hotel in Dubai

Popular fashion designer Giorgio Armani will be launching his first hotel in the world’s tallest building, the Burj Dubai tower, located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The launch of the building has taken place on Monday. However, the building’s offices, hotel and flats will be officially completed by March this year.

Dubbed as the Armani Hotel Dubai, this will be the first of a series of resorts and hotels that will be developed by Armani in partnership with Emaar Properties. The hotel will have 160 rooms and suites, spa, nightclub and two restaurants. The hotel will occupy the first eight floors of Burj Dubai including the 38th and 39th level. The 169 story building is measured about 2,600 feet high, about a thousand feet more than Taiwan 101 building, the previous world record holder for the tallest building.

The second Armani hotel will be launched in Milan, Italy later this year. The first Armani resort will be built in Marrakech.

Brits prefer romantic holiday with someone special

Saga Travel Insurance, a travel company, reported that Brits over 50 prefer traveling abroad on a romantic holiday with someone special. This was based on an extensive research that the company conducted recently to determine the pattern on how clients would like their trips abroad would go.

Romantic holidayThe results showed that 41 percent of the respondents preferred a romantic holiday with their husband or wife while 3 percent would rather go on these breaks with someone that’s not their partner.

About 34 percent of the respondents find these holiday breaks to be a great time to go to places of interest. Twenty six percent of these prefer destinations such as Italy, France and Spain where they can bask in the sun along the popular beaches.

The company stressed that it is very important to plan what to do during these vacations because based on their research, about 26 percent of the respondents felt boredom during the middle part of the holiday. That would be a waste of money.

Saga Group Chief Executive Andrew Goodsell stressed that holidays should be an opportunity to get rid of daily stresses so it pays to plan ahead.
