Major US retailers launch holiday club cards
Retail giants Sears and Kmart are looking forward for the holidays and have started promoting it by launching a Christmas Club card. This makes it possible for consumers to start saving for the holidays as early as now.

Illinois-based retailer Hoffman Estates, which operates Kmart, Roebuck and Co. and Sears, revealed that shoppers can set aside money regularly until November 14 to avail of added value treats in the card.
According to the press release, if the card is activated before October 31, the holders can easily earn a three percent reward or up to $100 dollars in additional credit.
The program is no longer new but it was revived just recently after being abolished about twenty years ago.
Ellen Davis of the National Retail Federation said that the new tactic is reasonable since a number of shoppers are thinking against purchasing items using their credit cards and the Christmas Club card would be a better option.
The federation conduction a research recently and the results showed that a lot of people are now gearing up for the holidays by saving ahead.
To get more details about the promotion, consumers are encouraged to visit the Kmart and Sears websites.
